1. The personal information that we collect
We may collect information from you when you contact or communicate with us; subscribe to our mailing list; donate, register for or participate in a class or event; use a partner fundraising application; or participate in another Site feature.
· We may ask you for certain personally identifiable information ("PII") such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or other information. You may, however, visit the Site without providing such information.
· We may use IP addresses and other log file information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track user activities and understand user interests.
Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret web browser-based “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signals other than cookies, we do not currently respond to undefined “DNT” signals to the Site.
2. Use of your personally identifiable Information
We may use PII in the following ways:
· To personalize your Site experience;
· To allow us to better service you; and
· To administer a promotion, survey, mailing list or other Site feature.
3. Disclosure of PII to outside parties
We generally do not sell or transfer to outside parties your PII unless we provide you with prior notice. The term "outside parties" does not include our affiliates, website hosting partners or other parties who assist us in operating the Site, conducting our organization, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may, however, release your information to other parties when we believe release is appropriate to comply with relevant law, enforce the Site policies or protect people or property. Information that is not PII may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.
4. Opting out and correcting or updating PII
You can opt out of receiving mailing list communications by clicking on the SafeUnsubscribe link in CLC’s updates and other e-mails or e-mailing us firstname.lastname@example.org. You can correct or update your PII by e-mailing us at email@example.com.
5. Cookies and analytics
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies through your browser settings. If you turn cookies off, certain Site features or services may not function properly.
Third party service providers may help us understand Site visitors and improve the Site. These service providers are only allowed to use the PII they collect for us to help us conduct and improve our organization. For example, Google Analytics may analyze Site data and share its findings with CLC. Google Analytics collects information on how often visitors come to the Site, what pages are visited, what other sites were visited and other similar information.
6. Protecting your PII
CLC follows generally accepted industry security standards to protect your PII. However, no commercial method of information transfer over the Internet or electronic data storage is known to be perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of PII when it is transferred to or stored in our systems.
We may include third party links on the Site. For example, online donations to CLC are processed by Network for Good’s server. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We have no responsibility or liability for the content or activities of these linked sites.

11. Children’s privacy
We do not try to collect PII from children under 13 years of age. If a child has provided us with PII, a parent or guardian of that child may send an e-mail message to CLC at email@example.com with “Request for Child Information Removal” on the subject line and the name and age of the child in the body of the message. Upon verification, we will remove the child’s PII from our applicable databases.
